SIU Shopian attaches house of LeT militant associate in Bijbehera

Srinagar: Police on Thursday said that SIU Shopian under the close supervision of DIG SIU Kashmir, SSP Shopian, DySP CIO SIU Shopian attached the residential house of a militant associate in Subhanpora Bijbhera area of Anantnag district, after obtaining necessary sanctions from competent authority.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that0 during the course of investigation in case FIR No. 22/2022 of Police Station Zainpora Shopian, under UA(P) Act, a residential house of Abdul Rehman Ganai S/o Mohammad Shaban Ganai R/o militant associate Zubair Ahmad Ganai R/o Subhanpora Bijbhera has been found used by militants of LeT militant outfit, adding therein that the the property belonging to the above accused has been attached as it falls within the ambit proceeds of militancy accordingly was initiated by SIU Shopian under section 25 of UA(P) Act.
Police in the concluding para of it’s above quoted statement advised people not to harbour or provide shelter or extend logistics to militants and their associates in their houses or premisses.
