DC Rajouri discusses activity plan for Int’l Day against Drug Abuse & Illicit Trafficking

Rajouri: With a resolute determination to fight against the growing menace of drug abuse and illicit trafficking, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Vikas Kundal on Thursday chaired a crucial meeting to discuss the activity plan and arrangements for the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.
During the meeting, the DC reviewed the arrangements to be made for the event and discussed ways to ensure its success. He sought cooperation from civil society members to curb the menace of drug abuse and illicit trafficking in the district.
The civil society members also expressed their appreciation for the district administration and police administration’s efforts in curbing the menace of drug abuse and illicit trafficking in the district. They acknowledged the hard work and dedication of the authorities in creating awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and promoting a drug-free society.
The meeting was attended by ADC Rajouri Rajeev Kumar Khajuria, PO ICDS, Shoket Mehmood Malik; ACP Sheraz Chowhan, CEO Education Sultana Kouser, DSWO, Wakeel Ahmed Bhatt; DPO Auqhil Nuvaid; DYSSO Sunil Samyal and other officers.
Prominent citizens including Bharat Bushan Vaid; Subash Sharma; Dinesh Sharma; Sushil Sharma; Sanjeev Mangu; Pushpinder Gupta; Rajesh Gupta; Sanjay Sharma and others were present during the meeting. The participants discussed various initiatives that could be taken to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and promote a drug-free society.
The Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal also emphasized the need for a coordinated effort from all sections of society to address this issue. He urged all stakeholders to work together towards creating a drug-free society and assured them of the district administration’s commitment towards this cause.
The meeting was marked with a sense of dedication towards the noble cause of combating drug abuse and illicit trafficking. All participants expressed their support and commitment towards this cause and pledged to work together towards creating a drug-free society.
The district administration is committed to creating awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and promoting a drug-free society. The International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking is an important occasion to reaffirm this commitment and renew our efforts towards this cause.
With the district administration’s commitment and the community’s support, the fight against drug abuse and illicit trafficking is sure to gain momentum, paving the way for a brighter and safer future.
