Srinagar: Police in Baramulla on Wednesday observed 9th International Yoga Day with the theme ‘One Earth, One Family and One Future’ at District Police Lines Baramulla.
According to a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar the SSP Baramulla Amod Ashok Nagpure, SP Hqrs Baramulla Divya D, DySP DAR DPL Baramulla Peerzada Aijaz Ahmad & other officers/officials of District Baramulla also participated in the event.
The aim of Yoga is to join or to unite, it symbolizes the union of body and consciousness. The theme highlights that yoga is a powerful tool to deal with stress of uncertainty and isolation and helps maintaining physical well-being.
Moreover, the participants also said that the Yoga is an ancient physical, mental and spiritual practice that has its roots in India. The International Day of Yoga aims to raise awareness around the world, regarding the many benefits of practicing the art.
The theme for International Yoga Day 2023 is ‘Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,’ effectively encapsulating our collective aspiration for ‘One Earth, One Family and One Future.’
