DDC Rajouri reviews arrangements for smooth Eid Ul Azha celebrations

Jammu : District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, chaired a meeting on Tuesday to ensure seamless arrangements for the upcoming festival of Eid Ul Azha. The meeting focused on crucial aspects like uninterrupted power and water supply, medical facilities, parking, and transport, amongst others.
During the meeting, the DDC emphasised the need to provide all necessary facilities to the public, including sanitation, drinking water, transportation, and uninterrupted power and water supply. The PDD and Jal Shakti Departments were directed to ensure consistent power and water supply during the festive days.
To ensure the safety of the public, the Police authorities were directed to deploy adequate personnel on the holy day, while the Traffic authorities were asked to prepare well-planned traffic management and parking arrangements. The fire and emergency Department were directed to keep their services on alert 24/7, and the EO MC was directed to ensure cleanliness in the town during the festival.
Moreover, the Health Department was asked to keep all medical facilities readily available to cater to the public’s emergency needs. The concerned officer from FCS&CA, Food Safety, and Legal Metrology were directed to conduct rigorous market checking to prevent any overpricing, profiteering, and black-marketing.
ADC Rajouri, Rajeev Kumar Khajuria; ASP, Vivek Shekhar; ACR, Imran Rashid Kataria; CMO, Dr Rajinder Sharma; Administrator Auqaf, Aashiq Rafiq; Tehsildar Rajouri, Varinder Sharma; EXEN PDD Rajouri, Tasadaq Hussain; EXEN Jal Shakti Rajouri, Ashwini Sharma and other concerned officers attended the meeting. Among the others, Molana Mohd Farooq; Shafqat Mir; Rajesh Gupta; Mohd Yousif; Irfan Rehman attended the meeting.
