Results: Girls outshine Boys as 79.89% students pass 10th Standard exams conducted by JKBOSE

JKBOSE declares 10th class results for Kashmir Division

Srinagar: Girls outshined boys in the class X results out on Monday by the Jammu

and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) with an overall 79.89 percent students having been declared successful.

The girls outshined boys with an overall pass percentage of 81.68 percent compared to 78.23

percent by their male counterparts, according to details available on the gazette.

An overall 148701 students were enrolled including 77422 boys and 71279 girls and of them

118791 were declared successful.

As many as 138223 persons have qualified in grade “A1”,18489 “A2”, 24147 “”B1”, 28880 “B2”, 26248 “C1”, 7133 “C2” and 78 “D” accordingly.

In English, 85.23 percent of 148701 have qualified, Mathematics 70 percent of 148667, Hindi 95 percent of 47316, Urdu 91 percent of 101429, Science 89 percent of 148673 and 90.50 percent of 148701 accordingly.

There were also one disputed eligibility, 11 unfair means, 102 exams cancelled, 6 disqualified for

two years, one disqualified for three years, and subject cancelled of 136 students in the examinations.

Chairman JKBOSE Parikshat Singh Manhas said that the examinations were conducted in proper manner under a uniform calendar as per the “vision of the Lieutenant Governor and directions by

the government of India.”

He also congratulated all the stakeholders including parents in helping the JKBOSE in conducting examinations and announcing the “timely” results.
