Srinagar: The death anniversary of Late Sub-Inspector Ferooz Ahmad Dar was on Friday commemorated at Dogripora Awantipora. A solemn ceremony was held at Iqbal Memorial Public School Dogripora, Awantipora, in which parents as well as family members of the deceased Sub Inspector participated, besides the students of the institute, Civil Society Members of the vicinity were also present.
According to a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar, the deceased Sub inspector Ferooz Ahmad Dar was killed in a militant attack when he was posted as SHO Achabal in year 2017. During the event, a rich tribute was paid to the courage, bravery and valour of the slain Sub Inspector Ferooz Ahmad Dar. Special prayers were held for the departed soul. The portrait of slain Sub Inspector Feroz Ahmad Dar was displayed at the school where he obtained basic education.
The event was chaired by SDPO Awantipora and was attended by Civil Society Members of the vicinity, members of the local community. Their presence served as a reminder of the collective support and solidarity towards the brave individuals who put their lives on the line to ensure the safety and well-being of the people. The legacy of this courageous officer will forever be etched in the hearts of the people he served, and his memory will continue to inspire future generations.
