Srinagar : Director General of Police J&K Police Dilbag Singh on Thursday sanctioned a welfare loan of over Rs 1.17crore in favour of 85 serving police personnel. He has also sanctioned special welfare relief in favour of NoKs of four deceased police personnel/SPO.
According to a statement issued from Police Media Centre PHQ Srinagar under an order, Rs one lakh fifty thousand each has been sanctioned in favour of 11 police personnel for the purpose of the marriage of their sons and daughters. Similarly, Rupees one lac each has been sanctioned in favour of 14 police personnel for the purpose of their own marriage.
Besides, 59 police personnel have been provided welfare loans in the range of one to two lac fifty thousand for self-treatment and treatment of their dependents. Also, 21 police personnel have been provided welfare relief in the range of twenty thousand to fifty thousand for self-treatment and treatment of their dependents. In addition to this, one police personnel has been provided a welfare loan of rupees one Lac fifty thousand for the professional education of his ward.
Meanwhile, the DGP has also sanctioned a special welfare relief of Rs 22 lakh each in favour of NoK of HCs Abdul Qayoom and Dalip Kumar, SgCt Jasbir Singh. He also sanctioned a welfare relief of rupees Six Lakh in favour of NoK of deceased SPO Mohd Arif.
Moreover, the DGP has also sanctioned a welfare/parting gift of rupees forty thousand each out of SPOs Contributory Welfare Fund in favour of 20 SPOs who had been disengaged from the rolls of SPOs after attaining the age of sixty years as per their date of birth.
Furthermore, the welfare loan sanctioned to the Police personnel is refundable and is recovered in monthly installments from their salaries without any interest. The amount has been sanctioned out of the Central Police Welfare Fund (CPWF). A parting gift is given to the SPOs as a token of appreciation for their services given to the department.
