SIU Srinagar presented chargesheet against 2 active, 1 slain militant

Srinagar: Police on Wednesday said that SIU Srinagar on Wednesday presented charge sheet before the Court of NIA Srinagar in case FIR No 50/2022 under sections 307, 302 IPC ,7/27 IA Act 13, 16, 18, 20 & 38 UA (P) Act of Police Station Soura against 02 active militants and a killed militant.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters, Srinagar Police said that on 24th of May, 2022, unknown militants fired upon one police personnel namely Saifullah Qadri S/o Muhammad Syed Qadri and his minor daughter Safa Qadri R/o Malik Shab Soura Srinagar, in which police personnel was killed and his minor daughter was injured.
Stating that during the course of investigation three militants identified as Basit Ahmed Dar S/o Abdul Rashid Dar R/o Redwani Qaimou Kulgam, Momin Gulzar Mir S/o Gulzar Ahmed Mir R/o Firdous Colony Eidgah Srinagar and Adil Ahmed Parray S/o Habibullah Parray R/o Badergund Ganderbal were found involved in the militancy related crime case, Police in it’s statement further said that a scooty bearing registration number JKO2CB-1268 used in the militant attack was also seized.
Police in it’s statement further said that one of the accused militants namely Adil Ahmed Parray was killed in an encounter with Police in Sangam area of Srinagar on 12th June last year, adding therein that the other two imilitants involved in the attack still active are linked with LeT/TRF militant outfits and the investigation shall continue under section 173 (8) CrPC.
