Srinagar : Police on Wednesday said that it has arrested a man involved in sexually molesting a minor boy in Kreeri Baramulla.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that on 13th June Police Station Kreeri received a written complaint wherein the complainant alleged that on 12th June this year his minor son (name withheld) age about 6 years was sexually molested by a person and had threatened the victim for not disclosing the incident to anyone, adding therein that a case under sections of law was registered in Police Station Kreeri and investigation was initiated.
Stating that during the course of investigation, officers after hectic efforts were able to identify the accused as Hashim Tariq Zargar S/o Tariq Ahmad Zargar R/o Sultanpora Kandi A/P Kreeri and subsequently, Police in it’s statement further said that a Police team led by SHO PS Kreeri under the supervision of SDPO Kreeri arrested the accused involved in the commission of crime and shifted him to police station where he remains in custody. Police in it’s statement also said that further investigation of the case is in process.
