DC Inaugurates Free Medical Check-up Camp, listen to people’s grievances, Devigol Temple Management Committee

Kishtwar: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Dr. Devansh Yadav on Wednesday conducted an extensive tour of Drabshalla and Bonjwah Tehsils.
During the tour, he engaged with the local community and addressed their concerns and inaugurated a Free Medical Check-up Camp organized by Ratle Hydro Power Construction Ltd. (RHPCL).
He availed the opportunity to interact with the residents and laborers of the Ratle Hydroelectric Power (RHP) project and listened to their grievances.
The Free Medical Camp was conducted in collaboration with the Health department to mark the 2nd Raising Day of Ratle HPCL.
Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by Tehsildar Drabshalla/Bonjwah Irshad Ahmed Sheikh, besides Ashok Kumar Nauriyal, CEO of RHPCL, doctors, district officials, local administration, RHPCL representatives, and PRIs, formally inaugurated the camp.
As many as 350 local individuals were checked for different ailments and provided free medicines as per the requirement of their treatment.
During the interaction, the local community and labourers raised several issues and demands, which were promptly addressed by Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar.
Necessary directions were issued to the relevant authorities at HPCL to resolve these concerns effectively.
In response to the locals’ requests for employment opportunities, the Deputy Commissioner informed them about the job advertisement issued for recruitment in Ratle HPCL, inviting applications for 47 positions by Mega Engineering & Infrastructure Ltd. He encouraged the eligible locals to apply for suitable roles, assuring them that the selection process would be transparent and fair.
The Tehsildar was directed to ensure wide publicity and monitoring of the process.
Furthermore, the Deputy Commissioner inspected various activities in the project area to ensure strict compliance with safety guidelines during blasts and other operations.
Continuing his visit, the Deputy Commissioner proceeded to the Bonjwah Tehsil, where he visited the revered Devigol Temple and after paying his respects, he engaged with the temple management committee. He attentively listened to their concerns and assured them of full support from the administration during the ongoing Yatra.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the tremendous potential of the Devigol area as a religious & tourist destination, which would not only boost local income but also contribute to the region’s overall development.
Deputy Commissioner visited HSS Binoon to assess the damage caused by the recent earthquake. He assured that appropriate directives would be issued to initiate repair and maintenance work promptly.
Later, the Deputy Commissioner inspected the Community Health and Wellness Center (CHWC) in Nali and evaluated the healthcare facilities the infrastructure requirements of the center, including the need for adequate staff.
Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar’s visit to Drabshalla and Bonjwah blocks showcased the administration’s commitment towards addressing the needs and concerns of the local community at their doorstep. The tour underscored the significance of collaborative efforts between the district administration, government bodies, and private entities in fostering development and ensuring the welfare of the people.
