Progress of JPDCL Projects reviewed in Rajouri

DC calls for Quality Work, timely Completion

Amid dry, hot and humid weather, hundreds of people including men, women and children mostly bare foot visited the revered suffi Saint Shrine Sheikh Noor-Ud-Wali popularly known as Nund Resh at Charar-e- Sharief in Budgam district on Sunday for prayers to seek rainfall to end the drought season in Kashmir valley. Rajouri : Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, on Monday reviewed the progress of ongoing JPDCL projects in the district.
The meeting was attended by the Chief Planning Officer (CPO) Mohammad Khurshid; Executive Engineer (EXEN) of STD Kalakote, Hasan Mohd; Executive Engineer Project Wing; Aftab and other concerned officers.
The DC reviewed progress scheme wise status of ongoing power sector projects and inquired about the bottlenecks, if any, hampering the smooth execution of work. The officials gave a detailed briefing on the progress made so far and the issues they are facing in the execution of these projects.
The DC emphasized the need to expedite the work on these projects and directed the officers to take all necessary measures to ensure timely completion. He also stressed the importance of ensuring quality work and instructed the officials to ensure that the projects are executed as per the prescribed specifications and standards.
The DC also stressed the need to ensure the safety of the workers and the general public during the execution of these projects. He directed the officials to take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of the people and to strictly adhere to the safety guidelines.
The Deputy Commissioner urged the officials to continue working with the same dedication and commitment to ensure the timely completion of these projects. Additionally, he also reviewed the progress on works under RDSS scheme wherein he was informed that out of 97 feeders, the work on 05 feeders is in progress.
The district administration is committed to ensuring efficient, reliable, and sustainable power supply for the people of Rajouri, and such reviews and directives from the DC are a step in the right direction.
