Agri Deptt B’pora organises Awareness Prog on Financing & Bank credit to FPOs

Bandipora: Agriculture Department Bandipora in collaboration with NABARD organised an awareness programme for bankers and other stakeholders on financing and bank credit to Farmers Producer Organisation (FPOs) at Mini Secretariat, Bandipora.
The programme highlighted various agricultural credit linked schemes in providing financial assistance and flow of credit on an easy basis to farmers and agricultural entrepreneurs for promoting sustainable agricultural practices and enhancing productivity.
During the programme, threadbare discussions were held for smooth flow of credit for the establishment of agricultural enterprise/units which are to be undertaken under Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP)
On the occasion, Nodal Officer HADP Bandipora (Chief Agriculture Officer Bandipora) briefed about the projects to be implemented under HADP.
Speaking on the occasion, DG Sericulture Manzoor Ahmad Qadri laid emphasis on credit extension in all the schemes.
The Additional District Development Commissioner Bandipora, Ali Afsar Khan apprised the bankers and stakeholders about credit needs under various CSC/Capex schemes in the Agriculture sector. He asked the concerned to speed up the efforts to implement the Central Sector schemes for FPOs and their benefits reach to the grassroots level.
The programme was attended by District heads of Agriculture and allied departments, Head KVK Bandipora, representatives of FPOs, progressive farmers and Lead District Manager Bandipora along with business associates of various banks.
