2-day annual ‘Techvaganza’ fest begins at NIT Srinagar

Srinagar : Two-day annual techno-cultural fest ‘Techvaganza’ began at National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar on Friday. The event was attended by a large number of students from across the Kashmir valley, who showcased their talent, skills during the various programs.
According to a statement issued from Public Relations Office NIT Srinagar, the mega event brought together students, tech enthusiasts, industry experts, and academia from all over the country to celebrate technology and innovation in a vibrant and dynamic atmosphere.
On Friday, various innovative technical competitions, training sessions, singing competitions, exhibitions and displays of student projects, tech shows and demonstrations, fun events and cultural activities, and cultural dances from 20 states were performed by the students.
Dr. Tanveer Rasool, Associate Dean Students Welfare is the faculty coordinator for the Techvaganza 2023.
In his message, Director NIT Srinagar, Prof. (Dr.) Sudhakar Yedla said the event was aimed to provide a vibrant platform to students of the campus.
“Such fests are not only a great way for students to showcase their skills but also an opportunity to learn from peers, industry experts, and the latest technological advancements,” he said.
Prof. Sudhakar Yedla said recreational activities like gaming competitions, quizzes, treasure hunts, cultural performances, and informal gatherings was organized during the ‘Techvaganza’ to foster student participation on the campus.
Registrar NIT Srinagar, Prof Syed Kaiser Bukhari said Techvaganza promises an electrifying experience for all the attendees. This event has earned a reputation as a premier tech fest in the region, he said.
“It is aimed to engage and inspire students while promoting a vibrant and inclusive campus community. During the two-day event wide range of workshops, seminars, and training sessions are being organized by experts in various fields, Prof. Bukhari said.
The event was graced by Dean Students Welfare, Prof. Abdul Liman, Department of T&P, Faculty Coordinator –TEDxNITSrinagar, Dr Sheikh Shahid Saleem, Dr. Tanveer Rasool, and other faculty members and hundreds of tech enthusiasts.
Speaking to the media, Dr. Tanveer Rasool said technical and cultural fests like ‘Techvaganza’ play a crucial role in the overall development of students.
“The mega event promises an immersive experience filled with cutting-edge technology, captivating cultural performances, and a feast for the senses,” he said.
Dr. Rasool said Techvaganza provides opportunities for skill development, networking, exposure to new technologies, and cultural exchange.
He said there are more than 40 competitions, 150+ technological exhibitions and attractions, 30+ workshops, and 20+ Celebrity Interactions, Techvaganza 2023 boasts an electrifying line-up of events.
While famous singer Yawar Abdal & Lohar: The Blacksmiths will also perform at the event. This sensational duo will ignite the atmosphere with its electrifying performances and soul-stirring melodies, leaving the audience in awe and craving for more.
Techvaganza 2023 offers a wide range of activities to engage and inspire attendees. It includes ‘Campus Ambassador, Food Fest, Career Zone, Gaming Zone, Fan Fest, and other activities. The event also showcased professional performances of world-class musicians from across the country.
