Kulgam: The District Child Protection Unit Kulgam has rescued two children after they were found involved in begging and child labour activities Town Kulgam.
The rescue operation was conducted after District Child Protection Officer Kulgam received the information from reliable sources, and accordingly he constituted a team headed by Protection Officer -IC and Protection Officer NIC to visit the hotspot areas of the town to rescue the children.
Meanwhile the officials rushed to the hotspot areas and rescued two children (name with held) from begging and child labour.
The children were immediately produced before the Child Welfare Committee Kulgam for further Care and Protection under Juvenile Justice Act 2015.
While taking the cognizance of the case, CWC informed the guardians of the children to report before CWC.
The children and guardians were properly counseled by the officials of District Child Protection Unit Kulgam and accordingly the said children were handed over to the guardians under proper undertaking.
The DCPO Kulgam appreciated the general public for bringing such involvements before the department.
