Kulgam : Under Death, Funeral Assistance, the Labour Department Kulgam provided assistance of Rs.16.15 lac among the dependents/legal heirs of the eight deceased construction workers at mini-secretariat, here on Tuesday.
Cheques to the tune of the said amount were distributed among the dependents/legal heirs of the eight deceased construction workers as death & funeral assistance by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam Dr.Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat.
On the occasion, payment amounting to Rs.16.09 lac was also released to 355 cases as assistance for education.
The DC applauded the department for providing education assistance to the wards of the construction workers and added that such endeavors will help them realize their career goals.
ADC Viqar Ahmed Giri, ALC Dr. Adnan Tariq were present on the occasion.
