DC inaugurates DM’s library (Jayshree) in Distt Information Centre Rajouri

Rajouri : Marking a momentous occasion, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal on Saturday inaugurated the highly anticipated DM’s Library (Jayshree) at the District Information Centre.
The state-of-the-art facility, offering a wide array of books encompassing civil services, PMT/JEE notes and a diverse collection of general literature, is all set to become a hub of knowledge and learning for the community.
The inauguration ceremony witnessed the presence of esteemed individuals, including the visionary force behind the establishment of the library Narinder Raina, the District Information Officer (Nodal Officer for the Establishment of Libraries), JEE expert Anshul Sharma and others.
After the inauguration, Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal interacted with the enthusiastic students who had already enrolled in the library. These students, representing various schools, evinced their excitement for the wealth of knowledge and resources now available to them. Their presence exemplified the inclusive and collaborative spirit behind the DM’s library (Library).
While interacting with the students, the Deputy Commissioner informed them that the DM’s Library (Jayshree) aims to provide equal educational opportunities to all students, regardless of their background or financial status. In line with this objective, enrollment in the library is completely free of charge. Any individual wishing to become a member can visit the Office of the District Information Centre in Rajouri and register for membership. The staff at the centre will warmly assist and guide them through the process.
The library’s collection boasts an extensive range of books, catering to a diverse set of interests and academic pursuits. From study materials for civil services and PMT/JEE exams to a wide selection of general literature, the DM’s Library (Jayshree) offers something for every curious mind. Students can explore their passions, expand their knowledge, and ignite their intellectual curiosity within this remarkable space. The Deputy Commissioner Rajouri also directed the District Information Officer to make available magazines and other books depending on the needs of the students.
Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the entire team of dedicated individuals who have made the DM’s Library (Jayshree) a reality. He emphasised the transformative power of education and the positive impact it can have on the lives of students. Deputy Commissioner affirmed his commitment to providing continuous support to the library, ensuring its growth and development as a beacon of learning in Rajouri.
Aspiring students are encouraged to seize this incredible opportunity by visiting the Office of the District Information Centre in Rajouri and enrolling as members of the DM’s Library. Through their active participation, they can embark on a journey of intellectual exploration, growth, and empowerment.
