Srinagar : Police on Saturday said that it has solved a burglary case by arresting two accused persons involved in the commission of crime besides, recovering stolen cash from their possession in north Kashmir’s district Baramulla.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that on June 1 Police Post Wagoora received a complaint from Abdul Majeed Reshi S/o Asadullah Reshi R/o Kalantra Payeen Wagoora, stating therein that some unknown burglars barged into his shop (JK Bank Khidmat Centre) when he had gone for lunch and stole cash amounting Rs. 97,000/- from the shop.
Stating that police has then accordingly registered a case under relevant sections of law at Police Station Kreeri and initiated an investigation into the case, Police in it’s statement firther said that during the course of investigation two persons identified as Ghulam Mustafa Sofi S/o Mohd Ibrahim Sofi & Shabir Ahmad Bhat S/o Assadullah Bhat, both residents of Diver Yakhmanpora Pattan were found involved in the commission of crime, adding therein that during questioning both the accused persons confessed their involvement in the commission of crime and on their disclosure, stolen cash was also recovered. Police in it’s statement furthermore said that the accused had been arrested and shifted to police station where they remain in custody.
Police in the concluding para of it’s above quoted statement said that the people of the area lauded the efforts of the police for cracking/solving the case within short span of time but warned that it will act strictly against the people found indulging in anti-social activities as per law.
