Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav: Yuva Utsav on ‘Panch Pran of Amrit Kaal- India @2047’ organised at IM-GDC Shopian

Shopian: The first of its kind ‘Yuva Utsav’ on the theme of ‘Panch Pran of Amrit Kaal – India @2047’ was on Saturday organised at Imtiyaz Memorial Govt. Degree College, Shopian.
The programme organised by the Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK), Pulwama in collaboration with school education evoked huge enthusiasm among the students and youth of the district.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Shopian, Yar Ali Khan presided over the function along with DDC Member, Raja Waheed in presence of Principal, IM-GDC.
On the occasion, the ADC said that the Utsav is a huge opportunity for the youth to take part in various talent hunt programmes and showcase their diverse potentialities. He said that the J&K is marching towards higher echelons of progress in many fields including sports and youth development.
He also said the Yuva Ustav is being celebrated under the banner of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, in the spirit of recognizing and cherishing the Yuva Shakti.
A total of five contests were held on Saturday in Declamation, Young Writing-Cum-Poetry, Mobile Photography, Culture and Painting.
Other speakers explained the five objectives of ‘Panch Pran’ which includes a resolve of developed India, taking pride in our legacy, our strength of unity and fulfilling the duties of citizens with honesty.
“We have to forward the objectives of ‘Panch Pran’ to other people and channelize the way of development in the country in a proper way,” said speakers.
Among others, the programme was attended by Deputy Chief Education Officer, Shopian, Deputy Director NYK Pulwama besides officers, officials and students from various educational institutions of the district.
