DDC Vice- chairperson seeks quality, time bound completion of projects

VC, DDC also holds Janta Darbars, inaugurates newly completed projects

Udhampur : Vice Chairperson District Development Council Udhampur, Juhi Manhas Pathania on Friday called for time bound and qualitative completion of public projects. She was addressing largely attended Janta Darbars at Pathwar and Babey inaugurates Community hall at Babey Block Khoon.
She also inaugurated two newly constructed Community Halls, one at Paroo(Pathwar) and other one at Babey.
After the inauguration, the Vice Chairperson emphasized the importance of community spaces in promoting social cohesion and community development.
The Community Halls will be a valuable asset and residents of the area can organize social gatherings, festivals and meetings over there. She was optimistic that the Halls will be used for various activities that will help to bring the community together and foster a sense of unity.
While addressing people at public darbars at Panchayats Babey and Pathwar, she had a detailed overview of public grievances of the people of the areas.
The Darbars witnessed an overwhelming response wherein a large number of people apprised the Vice Chairperson with their grievances, demands and issues of public importance.
Detailed discussions were held on various issues like, blacktopping and maintenance of roads, removal of encroachments, augmentation of Water Supply, tube well/ bore well for irrigation facility, PM-KISAN installments related problems faced by people, and other public importance issues were discussed in brief.
While interacting with the general public, the Vice Chairperson said that J&K dispensation is over anxious regarding public outreach programmes. She added that the Sarkar is committed towards good governance and easy and ready access to public services. She underlined the role of Panches/Sarpanches in ensuring a proactive and participative administration, sought their cooperation in dealing with vital issues of public importance. She assured them all administrative support to ensure implementation of developmental projects in their respective wards besides all the development issues raised during the meeting would be addressed at the earliest.
While addressing the meeting, She urged them to come up with suggestions to improve the development scenario in their respective wards to maintain a good rapport between the administration and the public and urged them to work with dedication to improve the living standards of the people living in rural areas.
Along with the officials of various departments, the Prominent amongst those who were present included, Mohan Lal Sharma, Sarpanch S.K.Bair,. Manoj Verma, Sarpanch Bilaspur, Kamala Devi, Sarpanch Babey, Nimrata Bali, Naib Sarpanch Khoon, Tirth Ram, Naib Sarpanch Babey, Renu Sharma, Ved Sharma, Surinder Mankotia, Saif Ali, Shiv Ram and PRIs of Block Khoon.
