Militants kill civilian in Anantnag, LG Sinha condemns attack

Srinagar: A man was shot dead on Monday by militants in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district, police said here. Lt Governor Manoj Sinha has condemned the attack on the civilian.
In a tweet J&K Police said that militants fired upon one civilian namely Deepu R/O Udhampur working at private circus mela at amusement park near Janglaat Mandi in Anantnag, adding therein that the civilian was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Police in it’s tweet also said that a Case has been registered and investigation is going on.
Meanwhile Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha has condemned the attack by militants on the said civilian in Anantnag and extended his condolences to the bereaved family of the slain civilian Deepu. The Lt Governor said the government and entire nation is standing shoulder to shoulder with the family. “Our security forces remain committed in their resolve to thwart the designs of the militants and all efforts will be made to bring the perpetrators to justice”, the Lt Governor said.
