Budgam : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Akshay Labroo on Monday chaired a monthly sectoral review meeting to take stock of the progress of the flagship projects and schemes pertaining to various line departments in the district.
He also took follow up stock of developmental works raised by the general public during Block Diwas held at Panchayat Halqa Charipora, Pakherpora and Kandoora.
The works included Additional Class room facility, playground, Dalwan- Checkpora Road, PHE and other projects in the area.
He instructed officers to ensure work on all approved projects is executed with full force and all genuine demands of the general public are addressed on priority.
While taking the monthly Sectoral review, the DC emphasized on speedy work completion on all projects including Amrit Sarovars, PRIs, Transit accommodations, development of playgrounds in all panchayat and work on Jal Jeevan Mission related projects be completed on war footing to ensure functional tap water connections to all pending households in a stipulated time frame.
Stressing on proper sanitation and cleanliness, the DC directed EOs of concerned Municipal Committees to strengthen door to door garbage collection besides clearance of legacy waste and ensure proper disposal on daily basis.
He instructed concerned officers to resolve issues halting work on development projects amicably and ensure that a functional playground is provided in each panchayat of the district.
Ex. Engineer Irrigation was instructed to start working on a model project under Catch the Rain program and ensure the same is completed by June 30th, 2023.
Among others, the meeting was attended by ADDC, Dr Akramullah Tak; SDMs, ACR, ACD, ACP, CMO, CDPOs, CEO, Tehsildars, BDOs, Ex. Engineers of various engineering wings, EOs and other concerned.
