S.P College Srinagar, Wildlife Deptt jointly pledge for Wildlife conservation & protection of the environment

Srinagar : Sri Pratap College and Department of Wildlife on Saturday jointly took a pledge for wildlife conservation and protection of the environment in a programme organized under the banner of India’s Presidency of G20.
The pledge was taken by the students of the college and the representative officials of the Department of Wildlife in recognition of the importance of preserving wildlife and their habitats to reflect the commitment of both organizations towards a sustainable future for our planet’s precious wildlife and ecosyste
The pledge incorporated commitments to educate students, staff, and the general public about wildlife conservation, prevention of wildlife crime, conduct research and monitoring, and collaborate with other organizations and stakeholders to develop and implement effective conservation strategies based on scientific evidence.
The principal of the College Prof. (Dr) Gh Jeelani Qurashi presided over the event and assured the student gathering of taking such initiatives on priority in the future as well.
“We are proud to take this pledge for wildlife conservation and protection of the environment,” said the representative of the college. “We recognize the importance of preserving our wildlife and their habitats for the health and well-being of our planet and future generations. We are committed to working with the Department of Wildlife and other stakeholders to achieve this common goal”, he added.
The officials from the Department of Wildlife also expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration and the commitment to conservation, adding, “We are excited to work with S P College Srinagar and other stakeholders towards wildlife conservation and protection of the environment. This is an important step towards ensuring a sustainable future for our planet’s biodiversity”.
The pledge is expected to have far-reaching results for greater awareness and action toward wildlife conservation and environmental protection among students and the general public.
