LeT militant Associate arrested in Bla, Grenade also recovered: Police

Srinagar : Police on Monday said that it has arrested a militant associate owing allegiance to LeTmilitant outfit and also recovered a hand grenade from his possession.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that on receiving specific inputs about the movement of militants in village Nagbal Chandoosa, a joint MVCP was established by Police and Army (52RR) at Shranz Crossing Nagbal Chandoosa and during checking, one suspected person who was coming from Shrunz towards Nagbal Chandoosa tried to flee after noticing joint naka party but was apprehended tactfully.
Stating that during searches one grenade was recovered from the possession of the said “militant associate” identified as Mohd Ashraf Mir S/o Mohd Shafi Mir R/o Laridoora Chandoosa, Police in it’s statement further said the said militant associate belongs to LeT militant outfit.
Police further said that the said militant associate is a surrendered militant.
In the concluding para of it’s above quoted statement Police said that it has accordingly registered a case under relevant sections law at Police Station Chandoosa and also initiated an investigation into the case.
