Hakeem greets kashmiri Pandits on Mela Kherbhawani

Srinagar : Chairman J&K Peoples Democratic Front ( JKPDF) and former Minister Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen has greeted people, especially Kashmiri Pandit community, on Mela Kheer Bhawani ,bieng celebrated on Sunday on the auspicious occasion of Zyestha Ashtami. He sad the Mela Kheer Bhawani was one of the most sacred festivals of Kashmiri Pandits, which is equally bieng reverred by the muslim community in kashmir .
In his felicitation message Hakeem Yaseen said that ‘Zyestha Ashtami’ holds immense religious importance for Kashmiri Pandit brothers and sisters. He said ”The Kheer Bhawani Mela has become a symbol of communal harmony and brotherhood in Kashmir, over the years as it showcaes rich traditions of composite culture and ethos of kashmiris .
” Kashmiris irrespective of thier indivisual faith and socio- religious affliations exchange thier joy and happiness at festivals like Kheer Bhawani Mela which was the hallmatk of pluralistic values of the land of Sufi Saints and Rishis, ,” PDF Chairman said while praying that the auspicious occasion of Mela Kheer Bhawani may prove harbinger of lasting peace and prosperity in jammu and kashmir. He said on this occasion every kashmiri irrespective of religion and creed should resolve
to strengthen the bond of togetherness and upholding the high traditions of co-existence, brotherhood and communal harmony.He said the philosophy of Kashmiryat without the existence of Kashmiri Pandits shall be incomplete.
