Bandipora : A District Level Yuva Utsav was on Saturday organised by the Nehru Yuva Kendra, Baramulla in collaboration with District Administration Bandipora and School Education Bandipora at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Bandipora.
The event was presided over by Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Bandipora, Ali Afsar Khan, who in his address appreciated the efforts of NYK Baramulla and Chief Education Bandipora for conducting such a marvelous programme.
On the occasion, students of Secondary Schools participated in various competitions including Young Artist Camp (Painting), Young Writers Contest (Poetry), Photography workshop, Declamation Contest and Cultural Events.
The programme was attended by District Cultural Coordinator, students, teachers, Zonal Cultural Coordinators, Jury Members and officials from various departments.
The Chief Education Officer in his address said that these programmes are important for the personality development of children.
Joint Director NYK, Hakeem Abdul Aziz said that Bandipora has a rich cultural heritage to showcase and NYK Baramulla will do every possible effort to tap the potential in students.
Assistant Director Employment and Labour Bandipora, Mohammad Arif; Chief Education Officer, Ab Majeed Malik; Deputy CEO Bandipora and Principal GHSS Bandipora, Mohammad Rafeeq Paray were also present on the occasion.
