J&K all set to host first ever car Racing Event

Srinagar : The Jammu and Kashmir Motorsports Federation (JKMSF) is all set to make its debut in the month of June 2023, in which Big brands like Redbull, Bharat Benz, Eicher, Polaris, Toyota, Jeep, Iffco tokio, Roop Automotives, Godrej Security, Radio Mirchi, Backyard Customs and few others join as partners and supporters in the event.
This will be a significant boost to the stagnant motorsport scene in Jammu and Kashmir, said Secretary Media for Jammu Arslan Khan Afridi.
The event will see drivers from eight states participating in JK AUTOX 2023 which will give a major push to motorsports and tourism in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the Secretary Media for Kashmir Sajid wani said in a press release.
Besides, the event will generate avenue and safe platforms for motorsports enthusiasts from the UT.
The Federation will be hosting the maiden Autocross race, labelled as ‘JK AUTOX’, in the twin cities of Jammu and in Srinagar in June 2023.
The event will give a significant boost to the stagnant motorsport scene in Jammu and Kashmir.
“JKMSF also has plans to also introduce Go Karting and Safe Biking Competitions into the J&K Motorsports scenario which will not only be a first in the Union Territory, but also a significant initiative to stop the misuse of the sports and rash driving in the name of motorsports,” the press release reads.
