Dr. Darakshan praises J&K H&H Deptt for their contribution to preserve legacy of Kashmiri Art, craft during G20 meet at Srinagar

Srinagar : Chairperson Jammu and Kashmir Waqaf Board Dr. Darakshan Andrabi (Minister Of State) on Wednesday visited Handicrafts and Handloom stalls at SKICC , where multiple products have been showcased to represent Kashmiri culture in the form of Art and craft.
Reports said Dr Andrabi was received by officials of Handicrafts and handloom department who highly admired efforts of handicrafts and handloom department for preserving legacy of Kashmiri Art and Craft and Dr. Andrabi also took extensive tour to the other venues and later joined Shikara ride in Dal lake.
Speaking on this occasion Dr Andrabi said that the Department of Handicrafts and Handloom deserve compliments for making tireless efforts for displaying a glimpse of Kashmiri Art and Craft which is an important depiction of Kashmiri culture on the occasion of G20 meet at SKICC Srinagar. “India is having the presidency of G20 this year and Kashmir valley is fortunate enough to host a meeting of delegates from 22- 24 May 2023 of its member nations in Srinagar, to discuss opportunities of tourism here”, said Dr Andrabi on this occasion .
She also said that the delegates are not confined to discuss opportunities in the field of tourism but are also introduced to scenic beauty and local culture, adding there that in pursuance to represent a glimpse of Kashmiri culture to foreign delegates. Dr Andrabi furthermore said that different departments Jammu and Kashmir have installed stalls and the Department of Handicrafts and Handloom is one among them.
