DC Reasi conducts extensive tour of Block Panthal, Interacts with farmers in Panchayat Sirah Kotla

Reasi: District Development Commissioner, Reasi Babila Rakwal on Wednesday conducted an extensive tour of Block Panthal and inspected a number of developmental projects of R&B, PMGSY, Jal Shakti and RDD Department.
She was accompanied by Member District Development Council, Panthal; Chairman, Block Development Council, Panthal; Additional District Development Commissioner, Reasi; Executive Engineers of PWD(R&B),Katra / Jal Shakti Reasi/JPDCL Reasi; Chief Medical Officer, Reasi; Chief Agriculture Officer, Reasi; Chief Animal Husbandry, Reasi; District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Reasi and Chief Horticulture Officer, Reasi.
The District Development Commissioner inspected completed Panthal Jajjar Road constructed under CRF and numerous other link roads of Block Panthal. Earlier DDC inspected two Amrit Sarovars of the Rural Development Department and instructed Assistant Commissioner Development to Complete the Amrit Sarovars within prescribed timelines. Besides, direction was issued for the beautification of the Sarovars by installing Solar Lights and Benches.
The DDC also inspected progress of work on under Construction Govt. Degree College building Panthal and directed the Executing agencies to expedite the work and complete the work within stipulated time frame. Earlier, she visited Sheep farm Panthal and took detailed review regarding working/functioning of Sheep farm.
DDC also inspected damaged Panthal Irrigation Canal and Sool Irrigation Canal in which the direction was issued to Executive Engineer Irrigation and Flood Control, MID Dharmari for early restoration and repair of the Canals besides, immediate desilting of the Canal. Later she interacted with farmers ,and PRIs at Kissan Sampark Abhiyan at Sirah Kotla. She urged farmers to establish units Ander various schemes.
Later, she inaugurated a spices unit established under PMFME in Panchayat Nomain. The ongoing works of Jal Shakti Department under JJM i.e. Retrofitting and Augmentation of Water supply scheme Manoon and Retrofitting and Augmentation of Water supply scheme Taleen were also inspected. Instructions were issued to the Executive Engineer, Jal Shakti Division Reasi to complete the works by 30th June. She also visited the agriculture farm of a progressive farmer and held interaction regarding the yield, organic produce and its marketing, Vermi Compost Unit and Biogas plant.
