Srinagar : Police on Wednesday said that it has solved a burglary case by arresting an accused person involved in the commission of crime.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that on 23rd May Police Post Wagoora received a complaint from Ghulam Nabi Mir S/o Ghulam Mohd Mir R/o Kachwa Muqam Kreeri who alleged therein that during intervening night of 22nd and 23rd May this year some unknown burglar(s) barged into his shop located at Kalantra Payeen and stole vehicle spare parts.
Stating that a case has been accordingly registered under relevant sections of law at Police Station Kreeri and an investigation has also been initiated into the case, Police in the concluding para of it’s above referred statement said that during the course of investigation Police with the help of technical and human resources zeroed in on one suspect identified as Umar Rehman Mochi S/o Abdul Rehman Mochi R/o Kalantra Payeen and during his questioning police came to know about his involvement in the commission of crime and on his disclosure, stolen property was recovered from his possession and the accused was later on arrested and shifted to police station where he remains in custody.
In the concluding para of it’s above quoted statement Police said that local population of the area have lauded the efforts of police for solving the burglary case within days and warned people that it will strictly act against those indulging in anti-social activities .
