Chairman DDC B’pora chairs Annual Action Plan 2023-24 meeting

Ensure timely completion of projects, works: DC Owais

Bandipora : The Chairman District Development Council (DDC) Bandipora, Ab Gani Bhat, along with Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr Owais on Tuesday presided over the Annual Action Plan meeting 2023-24.
The meeting was attended by Vice Chairperson DDC Kowsar Shafeeq, DDC members, BDC members, PRIs, ADDC Bandipora and JD Planning, besides other district and sectoral officers.
The meeting discussed and chalked out an outline of the development priorities and strategies for the fiscal year 2023-24.
It also assessed the progress made in the previous year and threadbare discussed a comprehensive roadmap for the development of Bandipora for future. The meeting witnessed constructive discussion and collaborative efforts to identify and prioritize crucial projects and initiatives.
During the meeting, Chairman DDC emphasized the importance of inclusive and sustainable development that caters to the needs and aspirations of all sections of society. He reiterated the significance of transparency, accountability, and effective utilization of resources to ensure successful implementation of the Annual Action Plan.
On the occasion, various departments presented their proposed projects and initiatives for the current and upcoming fiscal year. The discussion focused on identifying key development areas, addressing infrastructure gaps, improving public services, promoting tourism, enhancing educational facilities, and boosting livelihood opportunities.
Dr Owais, on the occasion, directed the departments to ensure timely completion of projects and works before the commencement of winter season in all three subdivisions, especially the Gurez area.
Areas such as road connectivity, healthcare infrastructure, education, agriculture, tourism, and the empowerment of marginalized sections of society were prioritized.
Dr Owais expressed confidence in the successful implementation of the Annual Action Plan and assured all stakeholders of the administration’s commitment to efficient and transparent governance.
The DC stressed the importance of close coordination between departments, active community engagement, and regular monitoring and evaluation to ensure timely execution and desired outcomes.
