SIU Kulgam Police executes proclamations against 5 active militants

Srinagar: Police on Monday said that Special Court Kulgam designated under NIA Act on Monday issued proclamation orders under section 82 CrPC against five active militant involved in various militancy related crimes and target killing cases including killing of lady teacher Rajni Bala and Bank Manager Vijay Kumar in district Kulgam, last year.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Police said that at the initiative of of SIU Kashmir, proclamation notices have been issued against militants namely Arjumand Gulzar @Hamza Bhuran S/o Gulzar Ahmed Dar R/o Kharbatapora Ratnipora Pulwama, Bilal Ahmed Bhat S/o Gh Rasool Bhat R/o Chaki Cholend Shopian, Sameer Ahmed Sheikh @ Kamran Bhai S/o Farooq Ahmed Sheikh R/o Chaki Cholend Shopian, Abid Ramzan Sheikh S/o Mohd Ramzan Sheikh R/o Chotipora Shopian and Basit Amin Bhat S/o Mohd Amin Bhat R/o Frisal Kulgam.
Stating that before issuing proclamation, the special Court has already issued open ended Non-Bailable warrants (NBW) against all these militants, Police in it’s above referred statement further said that proclamation orders have been read in the conspicuous places of their native villages and copies of orders pasted in conspicuous places of their residential houses and conspicuous place of their villages as well.
Police in it’s statement furthermore said that before initiating further proceedings under law against the above named militants, the special Court has given them a chance to surrender before the Court or investigation agency, adding therein that the teams of SIU also went to their native villages in Kulgam, Shopian and Pulwama districts alongwith local police & Magistrates for execution of Proclamation Notices and Proper SOPs followed during these proceedings.
