Udhampur : Acting on several complaints received from general public, Department of Food Civil Supplies and Consuner Affairs has suspended the operation of Government Supply Depot Jaganoo and GSD No 4 Udhampur.
During a Block Diwas programme in Jaganoo, Radheysham, Panch Ward No. 1, complained that some families were not provided ration for the months of November & December, 2022 by Government Sale Depot, Jaganoo, despite proper biometric authentication on e-PoS Device;
In this regard, the Chief Inspector, FCS&CA, Udhampur, was entrusted with the inquiry into the matter to ascertain the genuineness of the complaint. The Chief Inspector, FCS&CA, Udhampur, submitted his report where under, he substantiated the claim of the complainant that 100 families were not provided foodgrains by Tara Chand, Salesman, GSD, Jaganoo.
In view of the adverse report, Tara Chand, Salesman, GSD, Jaganoo and GSD No. 4, Udhampur was placed under suspension with immediate effect. He shall remain attached to the Office of the Tehsil Supply Officer, FCS&CA, Udhampur, during the period of suspension.
Besides, the Tehsil Supply Officer, FCS&CA, Udhampur has been directed to ensure proper and timely distribution of foodgrains to the ratonees attached with GSD, Jaganoo and GSD No. 4, Udhampur, through adjoining FPS Dealer, till further orders.
