Reduce Reuse & Recycle: MC B’pora kick-starts ‘Meri LIFE Mera Swachh Shehar’ campaign

Bandipora: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Bandipora Wali Mohammad in presence of President Municipal Council Bandipora Basharat Najar on Saturday kick-started ‘Meri Life Mera Swachh Shehar’ campaign in the town area.
The programme was attended by the councilors, officials of the council besides a large gathering of locals including senior citizens.
CEO Bandipora on the occasion informed that the aim of the campaign is to conduct special extensive door to door waste/used item collection drives. He said that during the fortnight programme starting from May 20, there will be an extensive collection of plastic items, old books, used clothes and footwear from the households of Bandipora town.
The CEO further informed that the collected items shall later be refurbished, reused or recycled to save the environment.
He said the District Administration has always provided full and every kind of support for keeping Bandipora neat, clean and hygienic.
President Municipal Council Bandipora on the occasion requested the general public for their cooperation in making the campaign successful. He further requested people to come forward for the development of Bandipora as a whole and town in particular.
