Doda :: To review progress of ongoing farmers’ orientation programme (Kisan Sampark Abhiyan) under Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), a meeting of the members of District Monitoring Committee was on Saturday convened under the chairmanship of the Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Doda, Pran Singh, here.
The meeting was attended by Kissan Advisory Board Members Hind Bhushan, Surrender Singh, Bharat Bhushan, Khursheed Ahmad, Haresh Kumar, Kissan, besides ACP, CAHO, CH,O District Agriculture Officer, DSHO etc.
The District Sheep Husbandry Officer Doda apprised the chair regarding ongoing farmers’ orientation programme under the HADP being held from 24th April till 31st of August 2023. It was informed that till date 61 Panchayats of the district have been covered, where 6101 farmers visited the special camps, while 4445 farmers were registered on the designated portal.
After threadbare discussion, the ADDC stressed upon the Sectoral Officers of Agriculture and allied departments and members of District Monitoring Committee to give the programme a wide publicity in advance to attract mass participation of the farming community. He assured all possible help from District Administration for the successful implementation of the programme in all the 237 Panchayats in the district.
It is pertinent to mention that the J&K Government has recently sanctioned 29 projects for Agriculture and Allied Sectors with an aim to increase the farmer’s income and to make the Jammu and Kashmir a leading Agrarian Economy in the country.
