Srinagar : Police on Friday said that it has solved theft cases in Ganderbal district by arresting three accused persons involved in the commission of crime and also recovered stolen property from their possession.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that in the jurisdiction of Police Post Shadipora, complaints from different areas were floating constantly regarding thefts of Angular Iron fitted in the fields, orchards of farmers for demarcation and fencing purposes etc. and accordingly, the cases under relevant sections of law were registered at Police Station Ganderbal and investigation was also initiated.
Police in it’s statement further said that on receiving inputs the SSP Ganderbal Nikhil Borkar constituted a special Police team led by incharge PP Shadipora under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Ganderbal Gh Hassan, who in a quick & swift action busted a gang of burglars involved in the commission of the crime and multiple theft cases were solved by recovering a huge quantity of stolen Angular Iron on the instance of arrested burglars. Stating that the arrested accused have been identified as Arif Ahmad Saaid S/O Gulzar Ahmad Saaid R/o Narayan Bagh, Tariq Ahmad Mir S/o Gh Mohd Mir R/o Trigam & Mudasir Ahmad Guroo S/o Mehraj Ahmad Guroo R/o Narayan Bagh, who were later shifted to police station where they remain in custody, Police in it’s statement said “during the investigation it was found that the stolen material was kept hidden by the above named accused under stagnant water near Chinar Bagh Narainbagh and moreover one Load Carrier bearing registration number JK01M-3868 used in the commission of crime has also been seized.
In the concluding para of it’s above quoted statement Police said that the people of the area on this occasion lauded the efforts of police for cracking/solving the cases and warned that it will act strictly against the people indulging in anti social activities.
