Kupwara : On the directions of District Development Commissioner Kupwara, Dr.Doifode Sagar Dattatray, the Assistant Commissioner Planning (ACP) Kupwara, Parvaiz Rahim on Friday paid a surprise visit to several Panchayats of the Haihama block of Kupwara district to take stock of SBM, SWM, and cleanliness drive going on in different Panchayats of the block.
The ACP was accompanied by BDO Hayhama visited Chalgund Panchayat, inspected site identified for the construction of SWM (Solid Waste Management) Segregation Shed in the Panchayat, checked various vermi compost pits and soakage pits constructed under MGNREGA.
ACP said that the department is working on a war footing basis to achieve the targets particularly on SBM-G, SWM, compost pits and segregation sheds.
He also visited block Headquarters Hayhama and reviewed progress on various schemes.
ACP later visited Panchayat Sulkoot and inspected functioning of Panchayat Secretariat Sulkote and SBM assets, and took stock of cleanliness drive and interacted with employees and locals.
