Kishtwar : Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kishtwar, Sham Lal on Friday chaired a series of meetings with concerned officers, here in his office Chamber.
The ADDC reviewed the progress of the ongoing Kisan Sampark Abhiyan of Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) in the district in a meeting with key officials from the agriculture and allied sectors.
This program aims to impart training and orientation to farmers in the district about the various beneficiary schemes offered by the government in agriculture and allied sectors.
Chief Agriculture Officer, Amjad Hussain Malik, informed the chair that 28 three-day training camps were conducted across 28 panchayats out of a total of 136 panchayats in the district. These camps have witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 4,621 farmers, with 2,190 farmers being registered on the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) portal.
He further informed that all the 136 Panchayats will be covered under the HADP by the end of August 2023.
Stressing effective monitoring of the training program, the ADDC instructed the functionaries of agriculture and allied sectors to provide adequate Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) material to every farmer attending these camps.
