Distt Branch Management Committee of Red Cross constituted at Kulgam

Kulgam: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat on Friday chaired a general body meeting to constitute District Branch Management Committee of Red Cross in the district.
During the meeting, deliberations were held for implementation of IRCS Branch Committee Rules-2017 and restructuring of DRC as per the rules mentioned in the Act.
After threadbare discussion, a resolution for constitution of the District Branch Management Committee of Red Cross was passed by the committee.
Earlier, the DC, who is also Chairman of the District Branch Management Committee, highlighted the importance of the Red Cross Society and its functioning.
Discussions on mandate and future planning of the District Branch Committee were also held to ensure that its benefits reach to the needy people in hassle free manner
The meeting was attended by ADC, Viqar Ahmad Giri; ACP Shurjeel Ali; HQA to Deputy Commissioner, CMO Kulgam and other officers besides members of trade unions, Auqaf Committee, Fruit Growers Association, Bar Association and civil society.
