Srinagar: Police alongwith Revenue Department on Wednesday destroyed poppy cultivation in Sopore.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar, Police in Sopore along with Naib Tehsildar Baramulla during a special drive against drug cultivation destroyed a huge cultivation of Poppy in Nadihal Rafiabad in the jurisdiction of Police Station Panzla.
Police in it’s statement once more advised all those who have cultivated Poppy or any other Narcotic substances anywhere in Police District, to destroy the same on their own, failing which they shall face strict action under law.
Police in the concluding para of it’s above quoted statement also appealed people to cooperation with it and come forward with any information regarding any kind of anti-social activity in their neighbourhood.
