Govt College for Women organises lecture on Cancer Awareness

Jammu: The Department of Education, P.S.P.S Govt. College for Women, Gandhinagar, organised a lecture on Cancer Awareness (Women Oncology) under the charismatic leadership of Prof. Minu Mahajan, Principal of the College. The event aimed to educate and create awareness about cancer among women.
Distinguished speakers shared valuable insights to empower the audience with knowledge about this critical health issue.
The formal address was given by Prof. Anuradha Chowdhary, who highlighted the significance of cancer awareness and the role of education institutions in promoting such initiatives.
The audience was captivated by the thought-provoking lecture delivered by Dr. Deepak Bharti, Consultant at the Department of Oncology, SMVDNSH, Katra. Dr. Bharti, an expert in the field, shared comprehensive information on cancer, focusing specifically on women’s oncology. He discussed the early warning signs, risk factors, available treatments, and the importance of regular screenings. Dr. Bharti’s presentation encouraged attendees to be proactive about their health and to seek medical advice when needed.
Prof. Anupama Sharma delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the speakers, organizers, and participants for their active involvement in the event.
The lecture witnessed an overwhelming response with the participation of over 200 students and faculty members. The event was a resounding success, thanks to the instrumental role played by Dr. Rupinder Kour, H.O.D Education and organising team Viz: Prof. Neetu Raina, Prof. Anupama Sharma, Prof. Anuradha Chowdhary and Prof. Ajaz Ahmad Lone.
The proceedings of the event were skilfully managed by Prof. Anuradha Chowdhary, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience for everyone present. Prof. Chowdhary’s coordination and professionalism were instrumental in the success of the lecture.
