DDC B’pora visits Schools; interacts with the students

Bandipora : The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad on Wednesday visited several schools in the Darmahama area of the district to assess the educational infrastructure and interacted with the students.
The visit was aimed to have first-hand knowledge of the prevailing conditions in the schools and ensure the effective implementation of educational initiatives.
The DDC visited the Government Boys Middle School (BMS) Darmhama and the BMS Mantrigam to take stock of the facilities available to the students. He inspected the classrooms, washrooms and other facilities and paid close attention to the condition of the buildings, furniture, sanitation facilities, and the availability of teaching aids and learning resources.
He also interacted with the school staff, discussing their challenges and requirements to improve the educational environment.
On the occasion, the DDC took the opportunity to engage with the students directly, encouraging them to pursue their studies with dedication and emphasizing the importance of education in their lives.
In a heartwarming gesture, the DDC joined the students in the Mid-Day Meal program, partaking in a nutritious lunch provided by the school. This communal experience fostered a spirit of camaraderie and allowed the DC to interact with the students in a casual setting, understanding their dietary needs and appreciating the efforts put into the meal program.
The DDC passed on spot directions for alternative placement of Government BMS Daramhama. He directed the Tehsildar Bandipora for identification of land so that school is transferred to a new location where the facilities could be improved for the students.
Speaking about the visit, the DDC said that Education is the foundation of a prosperous and progressive society. It is imperative to provide quality infrastructure and facilities to our students, ensuring their holistic development. By visiting these schools, we aim to identify areas of improvement and take necessary actions to enhance the educational experience for our children.”
