DC presides over weekly Block Diwas at Moungri

Udhampur : Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Sachin Kumar Vaishya on Wednesday visited Block Moungri and listened to scores of public issues at the weekly Block Diwas programme held at Sar Dabber Moungri of District Udhampur.
BDC Chairman, Bimla Devi, DDC Councillor, Jasvir Singh, ADDC, Ghan Shyam Singh, Sarpanches, Panches besides general public hailing from different adjoining panchayats attended the Block Diwas programme.
They projected several demands and issues like inclusion of area in tourism map, Uninterrupted power supply, Augmentation of drinking water, repair of road from Kaithgali to Moungri, Construction of passenger shed along with toilet facility near mela site, construction of Tourism Huts in the area, establishment of Degree College, Establishment of Community Hall, Rationalisation of staff in educational and health institutions, macadamization of left out roads, Electrification of un-electrified area, strengthening of mobile network in far flung areas etc.
The DC listened patiently to all the demands of the public and assured the public that all their genuine issues and demands would be addressed in a time bound manner.
The DC directed the officers to work with missionary zeal so that the people of the area may not be deprived of their genuine rights.
The DC added that these outreach camps help reach governance at the door steps of the public which improves the public service delivery mechanism.
Later, Deputy Commissioner paid obeisance at Shiv Parvati Cave Shrines and prayed for the peace and prosperity of the district and nation.
