Budgam : The District Administration Budgam on Wednesday conducted a weekly Block Diwas program at Panchayat Halqa Buzgoo in Block Nagam of the district.
The programme was chaired by Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Budgam, Dr Akramullah Tak at Panchayat Ghar, where local PRIs, respected elders and local youth delegations from village Gujapthri, Brenjan, Loolipora, Nilnag and other adjacent villages raised their demands.
The ADDC gave them patient hearing and assured all their genuine demands shall be taken up with the relevant quarters for early redressal.
ADDC said that the area Nilnag has huge tourism potential and focus is being given to tap the entire tourism potential of the district.
He urged locals to ensure their participation and cooperation in plan formation as it is imperative for the development of all rural areas in Budgam.
He emphasised concerned officers to ensure speedy public service delivery and carry out improvement works under various sectors to facilitate better facilities to the general public.
He asked the concerned departments to raise awareness about different schemes and public welfare initiatives for the convenience of the public.
Stressing on robust development of the area, the ADDC instructed concerned to ensure speedy work completion on all ongoing developmental projects.
