Block Diwas: Distt Admin Shopian holds weekly Public Outreach at Zainapora

Shopian : In order to listen and redress the grievances/issues of people at their doorsteps, the District Development Commissioner (DDC) Shopian, Faz Lul Haseeb along with DDC Chairperson Bilqees Akhter on Wednesday presided over the Weekly Block Diwas programme at Zainapora.
Among others, the programme was attended by DDC/BDC members, PRIs, besides district/sectoral officers and representatives of line departments.
During the programme, various issues pertaining to rural development, developmental and welfare requirements, welfare and employment based issues were put forth by DDC/PRI members and public representatives of the areas for redressal.
Issues of public importance including availability of drinking water under JJM, provision of laparoscopy machine, USG technicians at Sub District Hospital Zainapora, establishment of Animal Husbandry Centre at Aglar and various other demands were flagged-off during the weekly outreach programme.
The public also raised several other issues pertaining to higher education, roads, public parks, RTC bus service from Anantnag to Shopian, restoration of Kamal Ladi for irrigation purposes for appropriate redressal.
The DDC heard all projected grievances and demands patiently. Some issues of urgent nature were resolved on spot, rest were noted and concerned officers of the line departments were issued directions for promptly resolving the issues as per nor
He assured the public and public representatives that the grievances, other issues requiring interventions of the Government shall be taken up and submitted to the government for appropriate action.
