Awantipora : Prof. Shakil Ahmad Romshoo, Vice Chancellor IUST here on Monday inaugurated a 24×7 library facility for the students at Rumi Library IUST. The facility would house reading material for students preparing for different competitive examinations held at the union territory and national levels.
According to a statement issued from Public Relations Office Islamic University of Science and Technology, speaking on the occasion, Prof. Romshoo congratulated librarian Dr. Fayaz Ahmad Loan and other members of the library staff for the initiative and said that such measures are important to help our students in their preparation. Prof. Romshoo advised the students to pursue knowledge and endeavour for higher avenues of excellence and make the best use of the resources available at IUST.
The facility would also be open to the students of the local community, as a part of University’s commitment towards community outreach. The students and community members thanked the Vice Chancellor for this facility, and applauded the community outreach initiatives of the varsity.
