Officials conduct joint visit to inspect land identified for Central Forensic Lab in Samba

Samba : A joint visit was conducted Monday by the central team led by Dr. S.K. Jain, Director, Forensic Science Services MHA, Government of India, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Samba, Abhishek Sharma, the Director Forensic Science Laboratory J&K, Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar to inspect the identified land proposed for establishing central forensic lab.
The purpose of the visit was to assess the land feasibility of establishing a state-of-the-art Central Forensic Lab in Samba.
During the visit, the officials inspected the proposed land for the forensic lab measuring around 25 Kanals located near mini secretariat was carefully selected to ensure easy accessibility and convenience for the community and authorities.
The joint visit also provided an opportunity to discuss various aspects related to the project. The officials deliberated on the construction of other necessary facilities that would be crucial for the efficient functioning of the facility.
The proposed Central Forensic Lab at Samba aims to enhance the forensic capabilities in the region and strengthen the criminal justice system. Once operational, it will play a crucial role in the scientific investigation of crimes, providing valuable evidence and assisting in the administration of justice.
The establishment of the central forensic lab by MHA in J&K reflects the commitment of the government to improve law enforcement and ensure a fair and transparent judicial process.
The state-of-the-art facility will leverage advanced forensic technologies and methodologies to support investigations and contribute to the swift resolution of cases.
The joint visit by the Directorate of Forensic Science Services, MHA, DC Samba, Director of FSL J&K, Director, CFSL Chandigarh and other field officials of Revenue signifies the collaborative efforts between various authorities and departments to realize this important project. Their presence highlights the significance and priority given to the establishment of the central forensic lab at Samba.
Among others SDM Vijaypur Sidharth Dhiman, Tehsildar Vijaypur and other field staff were also present.
