DC Doda inaugurates Vaccination camp for Haj pilgrims at GMC Doda

Doda : Deputy Commissioner, Vishesh Mahajan along with Principal Government Medical College Doda, Dr Puja Vimesh, on Friday inaugurated the Immunisation/ Vaccination camp for Hajj Pilgrims, here in the AH GMC.
Chief Medical Officer, Dr A H Zargar, Administrative Officer, GMC Anoop Kumar, Medical Superintendent and other senior officers of the District Administration and Health Department were also present on the occasion.
The DC took stock of the vaccination process and inspected the arrangements put in place to facilitate the Pilgrims of Doda.
Interacting with the Hajj Pilgrims, the DC congratulated them for the Holy pilgrimage. The DC urged them to pray for the well-being and prosperity of the people of the district.
The DC was informed that the vaccination for Meningococcal Meningitis, Poliomyelitis and Seasonal Influenza (SIV) are being administered to the Hajj Pilgrims for which doctors and authorities of Haj Committee have opened special counters.
Pertinent to mention that 166 people of the district have been selected for the Hajj 2023 and have been vaccinated at different vaccination counters designated at AH GMC Doda, CHC Bhaderwah, CHC Gandoh and CHC Thathri.
The vaccination was aimed to protect the Hajj pilgrims from various infections, ensure their health and safety, and protect them from any contagious disease.
