Jammu : Police in Jammu on Moday claimed to have seized five vehicles for being involved in illegal minig in Miran Sahb area of Jammu city.
In a statement issued on Monday the Jammu district Police said that in a quest to stern the menace of illegal mining, a multi-pronged strategy was devised by Jammu Police in which police teams of Police Station Akhnoor, Police Station Miran Sahib, Police Station Bishnah and Police Post Sidhra . Police in it’s statement further said that police teams acted stringently on the specific inputs and raided at a location in their respective area and seized five vehicles involved in illegal mining. Details of the vehicle seized are as under:
Stating that two Tractor Trollies bearing Registration Nos. JK02DC 4760 and JK02CV 9253 were sized by Police Station Akhnoor, One tractor trolley without Registration No, by PS Miran Sahib, One Dumper bearing Registration no.JK02CG-2974, by PS Bishnah, and One tractor trolley bearing chasis no. WATA30705147530, by PP Sidhra, Police in it’s statement further said that thee recoveries were made by SHO PS Akhnoor Inspr Harjeet Singh, SHO PS Miran Sahib Inspr Zaheer Mushtaq, SHO PS Bishnah Inspr Vikram Sharma and I/C PP Sidhra PSI Arun Kumar in their respective jurisdiction.
Police in it’s statement also said that DMO Jammu was also intimated about the same, adding therein that the mining was done in violation of order of High Court of J&K, Stating therin further that to strictly implement the drive against illegal mining and to tighten noose against the violators of the law Jammu Police has initiated strict action.
