DC Kulgam review functioning , progress of RDD; instructs to develop durable assets

Says, “Distt has maintained 30% Women job card workers ratio”

Kulgam : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat on Saturday chaired a meeting of Officers of RDD and PR at mini-secretariat here to review the functioning, achievement and implementation status of various schemes in the district.
During the meeting, ACD Kulgam Mohammad Imran apprised the chair about the progress made by the district under various schemes like MGNREGA, PMAY-G, District Capex, SBM and 14th FC.
ACD informed that 45122 job cards have been issued, 17123, works under MGNREGA during year 2022-23 have been taken-up and completed with a wage disbursement of Rs. 40 crores and informed that District has maintained 30 percent women job card workers ratio.
Through powerpoint presentation, ACD also added that under PMAY(G), against the target of 2600 units, 1910 units have been completed whereas 690 are under progress and the expenditure cost is around 30 crore.
It was also shared that under 14th FC, 6322 works have been completed with an expenditure of Rs 67.56 crore.
The DC instructed the concerned to expedite the process of works under District Capex 2023-24. He also stressed to work religiously to make villages clean and beautiful.
Dr Bilal also instructed the concerned to ensure timely completion of all the works with judicious utilization of funds and also ensure the quality of work to create durable assets.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Showkat Ahmad Rather, ACD Mohammad Imran, ACP Shurjeel Ali, BDOs and other officers.
