V.C DDC Kupwara reviews Dev schemes in Wavoora Block

Kupwara : The Vice Chairman, District Development Council (DDC) Kupwara, Haji Farooq Ahmad Mir on Friday chaired a meeting of officers and field functionaries of Block Wavoora to review the status of developmental projects and schemes undertaken in the block.
BDC Chairman Wavoora, Choudhary Rafiq Kataria, Block Development officer Wavoora, Gouhar Arzoo Chand, besides all Panchayat Secretaries, Panchayat Accounts Assistants, Technical Assistants and other concerned officials of block Wavoora attended the review meeting.
During the meeting, the status of PMAY(G), prioritisation and estimation of secure MGNREGA works and completion of spill-over works of different scheme were reviewed thoroughly.
After a comprehensive discussion, the Block Development officer Wavoora briefed the chair about the current status of developmental activities undertaken in different Panchayats of Wavoora block.
The Vice Chairman impressed upon the field functionaries to prioritise the important and much needed works and prepare the secure estimates on priority so that MGNREGA works are started well in time and employment is provided to the rural people as MGNREGA is the main livelihood security programme in rural areas.
VC stressed upon Panchayat secretaries to prepare the supplementary list of left out, deserving PMAY-G households after proper verification so that left out deserving families are geotagged and provided the benefit of PMAY-G.
He asked the Panchayat secretaries to ensure participation of officials of line departments in monthly review meeting which are held on the first Monday of every month.
He said that due to implementation of three tier Panchayt Raj institutions, and Local Democratic decentralisation, the government has reached out to the door steps of villagers as Panchayt Secretariats are functional in every panchayat.
VC impressed upon Panchayat secretaries to aware the rural population about the benefits of different programmes of centre government and J&K Government.
V.C appreciated the efforts of District Development Commissioner Kupwara, Dr. Doifode Sagar Dattatray for taking Kupwara district to new heights of development.
Vice Chairman appreciated BDO Wavoora and field functionaries for working in coordination with PRIs and taking them on board both during the planning as well as during the implementation phase of the projects for better outcomes.
